The tune is called Girl From Ipanema, I’ll post the chords at the top of the Guitar Group Parts. The event is Wednesday 1 Oct - and you (along with Callum, Andrew and Calum if he’s keen to take part) should see Mr Paterson as soon as you can.

Also - you might want to explore this little note finder http://www.musicards.net/music_flash_cards/guitar_notes.html# - if you want to know what an open string is called - click on the brown bit to the left of the strings instead of clicking on a fret.

I am having problems learning I’m A Believer that we have to learn for next week . I get the rhythm but I cant understand the notes. I know the first notes are a G but I have forgoten where it is :L
Could you please tell me the string and the fret please.

I’m not sure if Peter has plans to record anything. I will have my hands full with 34 guitarists (204 strings to tune - arrgghh) but will see if I can get hold of the mini disc recorder I used for the existing samples and then try to persuade someone to record at least our bit for posterity.

Not so much of a question - more of an apology!!

I can’t make the Showcase event on Friday night as we have a family gathering which I MUST attend. Hope all goes well. How about some video/audio clips on your blog??
