Active Learning Workshops - sharing good practice April 30, 2008
Posted by Stephanie Gilhooly in : Uncategorized , add a commentFollowing on from the drop-in sessions and half day training sessions last term, we propose to run 6 sessions before the summer. Each session will have a specific focus. Areas for further discussion were highlighted in the evaluation forms from the previous drop-in sessions and the half day training sessions, and we have tried to accomodate these as far as possible.
The workshops are open to all staff (nursery, infant, middle and upper.) Headteachers and support staff will also be made very welcome. Practitioners are invited to attend as many sessions as they like! We have tried to spread the workshops throughout East Lothian.
13.05.08 - Pinkie (Reading & Phonics / management styles)
15.05.08 - Ormiston (Maths / management styles)
20.05.08 - St Mary’s (Collaborative planning / planning formats)
22.05.08 - Dirleton (Observations - method and management)
27.05.08 - Innerwick (Learning Logs)
29.05.08 - Cockenzie (Writing / management styles)
It would be helpful if you could bring along any examples of good practice to share at these sessions. This is a great opportunity to borrow and steal ideas that you can use in your classroom!
Please could you indicate by Friday 9th May which session(s) you would like to attend.
Kind regards
