P6 and P7 political parties November 26, 2008

P6 and P7 have been given the challenge to make up their own political party. They got homework to think of ideas they would like to change about the community or school. They then in class had a vote for all the suggestions and they could vote for their top three.The parties were made of people who mostly voted for the same things. They are now making up logos and names and are making up their manifesto.

What an excellent plan! P5/6 held a mock election last year in our school. Perhaps I’ll try to get some of them to share their experiences. You may find some of the information on our blog from May.
