Primary 6 and 7 spent the day at Hopetoun House in South Queensferry today. They have been learning all about the Victorians in class and this topic was explored in great detail. Much fun was had by all as we dressed as servants, played Victorian games, wrote with quill pens and explored the Victorian House.
There are many more photographs and comments from the children to follow…

P6 have been working very hard learning how to say their names, ages and where they live in French. We decided to have a go at podcasting the conversations. Bravo à tous!

AUTUMN FAIR SUCCESS September 22, 2008

Posted by llissaman in : PTA, Whole School Events , add a comment

This year’s Autumn Fair, held on 20th September, was a resounding success and raised over £2,700 in 2 hours.  As usual the event was amazingly well supported by parents and residents in the village who donated goods, made preserves & cakes and came along to enjoy the afternoon.  The Fair’s success is a result of lots of hard work by the PTA as well as parent & teacher helpers:  a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped, beforehand, on the day and indeed afterwards.  Special thanks are also due to the the teachers and pupils for their posters, the wonderful crafts and, of course, the enormously popular activities organised by the P7s.  Well done everyone for yet another great Autumn Fair.
