Posted by aberladywebclub in : Primary 6, Primary 7, Whole School Events , add a commentThe Primary 6 and 7 children have been busy preparing for their end of term show. This year the show is called the Keymaster. It takes you through many periods in history. Each scene has been designed and choreographed by us (the pupils).
The Keymaster will be performed at the Community Hall today, Wednesday 24th June at 6pm. Tickets are available to buy from the school; it costs £2 for adults and £1 for children. There was a dress rehearsal for the school yesterday and we think it went well! We hope everyone can come and see our work. Money raised will firstly go to cover costs of putting on the show; the remainder will go to our Malawi appeal.
There will be many more photographs of our performance following the show tonight.

Primary 2/3 Plant Experiments June 24, 2009
Posted by aberladywebclub in : Primary 2/3 , add a commentAfter starting our plant experiments in Primary 2/3, our seeds are now growing. In pot one where the seeds had light, three plants have grown. In pot two where the seeds were in the dark, five plants have grown. In pot three where the plants had light and water, all the plants have grown with full green leaves!

The Primary 6 children are really excited about being buddies for the Primary 1 children next year. Last week the Primary 6 class and the Nursery children met for a fun Games session. The children got to know each other and can’t wait to work together next year.
Primary 6’s P.E Games! June 17, 2009

They all had great fun and can’t wait till the next session! A big thank you to Mrs Paterson!

P1/2 Plant Detectives June 17, 2009

Primary 1/2 have been studying a topic on Plants. They became plant detectives this week. The challenge was to look around the grounds of the school and find three different types of stems. They took magnifying glasses and clipboards to help them to become real scientists!
When they were back in the classroom, the children conducted an experiment to investigate stems. They used food colouring to dye some water red, and then they put a celery stick into it. They made predictions about what would happen and wrote up a short report of their findings.
