Posted by aberladywebclub in : Uncategorized , add a commentOn Friday P4/5 went on a Children in Need walk around the village dressed up or dressed down. Everyone got a chance to hold the bucket. The School raised £375. We had lots of fun.

P5/6 Water Colour Paintings November 24, 2009
Posted by aberladywebclub in : Primary 5/6, Uncategorized , add a commentP5/6 have been practising painting using water colour paints. You must be very careful but you can produce beautiful effects.
We painted pictures of hares, animals that can often be seen running in the fields and on the golf courses around Aberlady. We think they are magical animals.

Primary 7 have been learning about light and sound. We have made interesting circuits and learned a lot about symbols used when planning them. We have also done PowerPoints about our topic which has been very fun! Watch this space as you might be able to see some later on!
Nursery Boats November 24, 2009

The morning nursery were making paper boats. They experimented with loading up bricks onto the boats to see if they could float.
They found out that some boats could carry 30 bricks before they sank.

We also went on a walk around the village to collect money from friends and family. We raised almost £400. Well done Aberlady!
Aberlady Primary Eco Day November 19, 2009

We began the morning with an assembly (see a separate post) run by the Eco Committee, and then all the children went to work in their year groups to find out more about recycling and to make Christmas decorations for the school from recycled materials. The morning was a great success and we are all looking forward to decorating the school with our new decorations!
The children in P3 made enough shiny paper chains to decorate the whole school and the P4s made a Christmas cracker from old magazines for every child in the school to have at their Christmas lunch! P5 made some super decorations from old sweety wrappers, scrap paper and waste shiny paper. Here are some photos from these year groups to show you what we made.
