Our Egyptian exploration continues…
Where do I begin with the effort, thought and teamwork that has gone into our topic time this week. We have found out lots about the River Nile using different sources and enjoyed using our learning to explore the concept of ‘fact, fiction or opinion’. We had fun miming things that might take place on or near the river for others to guess, a great way of assessing how much we’d each learned. Work has continued on our GIANT wall display. Today we added titles, descriptions, a village for the builders, crops, a visiting pharoah and blocks being hauled on string up the main pyramid. We’ve also started a new display ‘Why were the pyramids built?’ which Sam has taken charge of. Some of our questions were too good to forget and we’ve put them on the wall too, they’re a great way of showing our depth of thinking…’what would have happened if the River Nile dried up?’ As well as this we’ve been having a go at building models of pyramids using all sort of materials. Next stop – why were the pyramids built and what went inside them?

This all sounds fantastically exciting. Well done, everybody. I can’t wait to hear more about the building of the mysterious pyramids.
it was cool pictures, I enjoy to do house
