A week in the life of P5/6
Well what a week it has been. Mrs Anderson has been off this week and we all miss her. We hope she has a speedy recovery. Mr Lavery has been in class leading our learning.
We started the week developing our writing and looking at how we can make improvements to our work. We now know how important it is to check over our work to make changes. Weight is one of our topics in maths and this week we learned how we can categorise the weight of everyday items in our class using potatoes, sugar and apples as a guide.
In our topic this term, we are focusing on the John Muir Award and have been working to produce a display of knowledge to show more about the man himself and his legacy. We also worked with Mr Lavery to plan what the learning will focus on in the topic using the Experiences and Outcomes. We will be learning more about food chains and eco systems to help us to design amd make a wildlife area in the school grounds.
Club Golf – Tuesday 24 April on PhotoPeach
We have also been very active this week beginning to try the different athletic events in preparation for Meadowbank with Mrs Paterson and Mr Lavery. We also had the opportunity to try 6 holes of Golf in the park on Tuesday with Kate, the Golf Development Officer.
Wednesday was a great day. We created and performed a play in a day with Primary 3/4 and we were extremely proud of our achieveemnts. More on this to follow.
Look out to find out more about how our topic is developing next week.
