Pandas
This week in nursery we have been learning all about the pandas at Edinburgh zoo. They are called Tian Tian (which means Sweetie) and Yang Guan ( which means Sunshine).
Pandas like to eat a lot of bamboo. An adult giant panda eats between 20 and 40 pounds of bamboo a day!
That’s so much bamboo that they spend up to 16 hours a day eating.
They also love to tumble and roll because it helps them to move quicker.
Pandas are great at climbing trees. They feel so comfortable in trees that they sometimes sleep in them!
