Well done to all the mink raft constructors. They worked! This photo shows otter prints on the raft at the Marl Loch and the raft up the Peffer Burn has attracted both otter and mink. The otter prints on the Marl Loch are the first record here for over five years and may show that the species is more common here than was thought. I will be setting traps to catch the mink over the spring and summer.

Can I pre-order a coat?
An otter-fur jacket’s a little distasteful Kate!?! Rather than a parka, could maybe be a Tarka?
