Our Week in Primary 3

Primary 3 have had a ball during Eco week this week. Thank you to Mrs Mackay and the Eco Committee for arranging such an exciting week.
We have been continuing our learning about Water and carried out some experiments with dissolving. We also used the moisture found in baby wipes to create tie dye patterns.
The highlight of the week was creating Origami boats – the children loved this so much that they want to learn more about the wondeful art of paper folding. Watch this space!

Clara said “In the week we have been doing lots of stuff like Sunlight Photography. We made photos out of the sun! We got lots of stuff like forks and teaspoons. We had some special paper and pins. The pins were to stick the paper down. We then counted to 60 seconds and put the paper in some water and covered it with a cloth. Then we counted for another 60 seconds and after we quickly took it out to dry. We also did some more water experiments and made up songs with our spelling words. We wrote stories about turning into a washine machine!!!! It was very much fun!”

Jo Jo Said “This week was very fun! My highlight was the Sunlight Photography. We needed pin people, a coverer, a plunger and a photographer in our teams. First we put down a piece of paper then the pin people put their pins in to keep it down. Then the photographer put down 6 objects and we all counted for 2 minutes. Then the pin people had to get their pins back quickly so the plunger could put the paper in water for 60 seconds. We took it out and then let it dry on the picnic tables.”
