The P7s came up with the idea of making a film about what they do in their spare time to put on the blog for their French penpals.
Here it is……

The P6s have been giving presentations about their families in class… all in French. Un grand bravo à tous et à toutes!
We were delighted to get letters from our French penfriends recently. They live near Nancy in the north-east of France. You can see some photos of their school on their blog.
We used all the French we have been learning in P7 to write back to them. Here are some photos and we made some podcasts too.

Primary 7 are linked with a school in France called Ecole Buffon which is in Champigneulles in the north-east of France. It was exciting to see photos of their school so we decided to take some of our school for them. A bientôt!
The P6/P7 pupils at Aberlady met Audrey, the French assistant from NBHS today and she comes from Lyon in the south-east of France. Just recently we had a post on French 24 about the “Fête des Lumières” (Festival of Lights) in Lyon. She explained that this is a really big event for the town and lots of visitors come to see it. She has gone to see it lots of times too! We all thought it looked fantastic! She also told us that the people who live in Lyon (Les Lyonnais) light little candles and put them in their windows too!
P6 did an interview with Audrey so you could find out all about her as well! Merci Audrey – on s’est bien amusés et.. un grand merci aux élèves de P6 pour cette interview.
P6 have done some great work with Mrs Swan! We are really lucky to have a boy in P6 who has lived in the south of France for 3 years. They have been doing podcasts on French 24 of the conversations they have been practising.
P7 have been learning the parts of the body in French and they have drawn some lovely pictures to label.
