During Scottish Week P2, P3 and P4/5 walked to The Bothy to learn about some of the Scottish food we eat in general, and sausages in particular , and how they are made. We couldn’t see the wild boar which live on Gosford Estate as they are about to have their babies, but we did see lots of hens in the grounds. We went inside the Bothy and saw the process of sausage making. We also got an opportunity to taste cooked wild boar and apple sausages when we returned to school.
Many thanks to the staff at the Bothy and to all the parent helpers who accompanied us, also to Mrs Anderson (who cooked the sausages we bought from the Bothy).

Those sausages look very nice! There is a lot of meat at the Bothy I see!
I can see my Head in it!
I can’t whoops
