YOU’LL BE BLITZED!!!!

In class we have been writing about being caught in an air raid .First we had to plan it through and thought about some vocabulary .Then we wrote it in stages. We shared our stories with each other so we could get some ideas from each other’s stories.

Here’s the begining of Robyn’s story:

As the night lit into flames the ear bursting air raid siren sounded through the smokey city. I rushed through the crowd of terrified people to the dark dusty air raid shelter. The thought of the enemy bombs hitting this one time wonderful city hit me. I felt anger building up inside me, these wonderful buildings destroyed and peoples lives ruined.

Big Group Challenge

This was the first big group challenge we have done.We split into 2 groups-boys and girls! It was a new learning experience for us all but we all agreed it was great fun and want to do it again.Next time we will have 2 big mixed groups but think we will need 2 team leaders in each group.

Creating a Museum !

This afternoon Sarah Cowie from Museum Services visited us to help us with the creation of a WW2 museum. She brought some artefacts for us to examine. We had to wear gloves to handle the WW2 objects.A magnifying glass helped us to examine small areas closely. After we had examined them we wrote a label to describe the item.
